About The RoleAs a Senior Software Engineer at Biofire you will be responsible for building the software for high-reliability, safety critical products. To succeed you will need to be self-driven, obsessed with the details and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
You will need to be able to develop high-quality, highly-reliable software while contributing to architecture and problem-solving as a member of the Software team. Delivering on defined requirements will be a vital part of your role, but you will also be expected to bring a passion for solving novel problems, proactively engaging with your colleagues across engineering to drive to the very best solution and rigorously pressure test the status quo.
Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. LOCATION
This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:
- Responsible for creating and upholding excellence across engineering standards, design, review processes, and testing across all aspects of the team's work;
- Will be comfortable working with a variety of languages, frameworks and levels of abstraction from embedded to high level application development;
- Creating coding standards and unit testing;
- Configuration management;
- Deploy software tools, processes and metrics;
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals;
- Proficiency in C/C ;
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Kotlin;
- Experience with Agile Methodologies;
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices to help streamline the software development process and ensure high code quality.
