Biocoat Inc. is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Horsham, PA
Annual Compensation Range: $75,000-$100,000
Biocoat is committed to providing the best in developing, manufacturing, and applying coatings on medical devices. Our Finance team has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant. To be successful in this role, a candidate would have a minimum of five years' experience in Finance or an Accounting function and comfortable completing all of the job requirements.Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Participate in monthly close via creation of journal entries, reconciliation, and analysis of accounts
- Understand and explain in detail financial variances between actual results, financial forecasts, prior year results, and budgets
- Support the Controller with maintenance of corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure conformance with US GAAP and other laws/regulations
- Create detailed weekly sales reports
- Support the Cost Accounting function
- Process full cycle Accounts Receivable including setup of customer accounts, generate invoices, post payments, and perform collection activities
- Reconcile cash and customer accounts daily
- Review general ledger activity for accuracy and resolve any posting issues
- Identify and help implement process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance/Accounting Function required
- Experience and clear understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, general ledger, full cycle accounts receivable, and ERP systems
- Manufacturing industry experience highly desired
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, analytical abilities and organization
- Proficient using MS Office Suites including Excel spreadsheets (creating pivot tables, developing charts with complex formulas)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to have positive and effective working relationships
- Desire to work in a challenging environment, be able to change gears quickly, and have excellent time management skills
