Biocare Oncology & Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Felix Health, Inc, is a novelty oncology and therapeutic ambulatory infusion center. We are Atlanta's only premier outpatient infusion center conveniently in Buckhead, Atlanta. We care for patients that may require intensive and often complex therapies in a warm and comfortable state-of-the-art facility. We treat a broad range of conditions including cancers, gastroenterology, dermatology, infectious diseases, blood and autoimmune disorders.

Duties:
Administers prescribed intravenous and subcutaneous medications and biologics, adhering to prescriber order and applicable FDA dosing parameters.
Provide screenings, interventions, counseling and be prepared to provide support to patients with potential adverse infusion-related drug reactions.
Communicates with physicians and other health care providers on clinical services related issues.
Prescribes necessary medications as necessary to mitigate acute infusion reactions, under the supervision of the infusion center Director(s).
Oversee and evaluate infusion nursing services and the implementation of policies and procedures and clinical drug protocols to ensure coordination and safe delivery of care.
Serve as an onsite clinical resource for clinical staff and referral sources.
Assists the clinical team in the entry, review and validation of prescriber orders received by faxed referral or verbal order.
Perform lab tests as needed for Infusion patients.
Assures that all patient related documentation, and clinical reports are accurately completed, submitted and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process.
Participates in department Quality Assurance activities as requested.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Skills required:
- Strong IV access skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience administering and managing patients on IV specialty medications (i.e., Immunoglobulin, chemotherapy, biologics)
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- BLS and ALS certification
This position requires a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. Previous experience in a similar role (Oncology/Infusion/ICU) is preferred.
