Salary Range: $136K - 204K 10% BIP, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Bioconjugate Chemist to join our chemistry team as a Senior or Staff Scientist. This is a hands-on position with responsibilities for the design, synthesis, and analysis of antibody-oligonucleotide bioconjugates. This is a multidisciplinary, highly collaborative position that will work closely with Assay Development and Operations to ensure commercialization of new reagents for ACD’s product lines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of conjugation chemistries, analytical techniques, and purification methods for generating functional antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates. In addition, the candidate should be a strategic thinker, communicate effectively, have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously execute and analyze complex experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthesis, purify, and perform analytical characterize of antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates
• Scale-up conjugation methods for product commercialization
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to design and perform experiments
• Organize, evaluate, and communicate key findings at project meetings and make recommendations for follow-up studies and prioritization
• Identify, understand, and resolve bottlenecks plus failure modes in early stages of product development
• Preparation of written reports summarizing experiments results
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Train and develop a junior staff
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry or related discipline, with 5 years (for Sr. Scientist), 10 years (for Staff Scientist) of hands-on experience with antibody bioconjugation chemistry (preferably in industry experience)
• Experience with common analytical techniques and biological assays (e.g. FPLC, HPLC (AKTA pure System), UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, etc).
• Proven track record of performing multidisciplinary research and development with the ability to integrate a broad range of scientific and engineering principles
• Ability to design, validate, and execute high-impact experiments, including the in-depth analysis of results to develop solutions to complex multi-faceted challenges
