Our internships are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months.Interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. 

Position Summary: 

Bio-Techne is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist Intern to elevate storytelling across the company. The stories you tell will inspire employees by connecting them to our mission to “elevate science to thenext level of possibility.” 

In this role, you’ll collaborate with Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, the internal communications leader and other partners to: 

• Find and tell inspiring stories about the impact of Bio-Techne employees and products through a variety of mediums and channels. 

• Develop a process and pipeline to capture compelling stories. 

• Develop and execute an annual communications plan to share those stories. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project that will have a significant impact. The ideal candidate has the ability to:

You may occasionally support communication for other projects and programs for the 3,200 Bio-Techne employees around the world. 

You’ll report to the senior leader of internal communications. The role will be based out of the Minneapolis office, with hybrid flexibility as needed. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Identify and build a network of relationships with employees across the company who can be sources for stories. 

• Design and implement a process for regularly gathering stories, storing them and tracking development/production. 

• Collaborate with Digital Marketing, the internal communications leader and other stakeholders to develop the stories, create supporting content and communicate them. 

• Create and execute a storytelling campaign for 2024. 

Qualifications

Program Requirements: 

• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship 

• Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college 

• Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program 

Experience Qualifications: 

• Actively pursuing a degree in communications, marketing or related field 

• Has demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)
