Contract Duration – 13 weeks Contract.

Position – Travel RN Travel RN PACU

Schedule: Days 7A - 5:30P

What You Will Do:
Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' postoperative status, including vital signs, airway patency, oxygenation, circulation, and pain levels. PACU RNs monitor for signs of emergence from anesthesia, complications, or adverse reactions to anesthesia agents.
• Airway Management and Oxygenation: Ensure patent airways and adequate oxygenation for patients recovering from anesthesia. PACU RNs monitor respiratory status, administer supplemental oxygen as needed, and intervene promptly in cases of airway obstruction or respiratory distress.
• Hemodynamic Monitoring: Monitor patients' hemodynamic status, including blood pressure, heart rate, and cardiac rhythm, using continuous monitoring equipment. PACU RNs assess for signs of hypotension, hypertension, dysrhythmias, or other cardiovascular complications and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Pain Management: Assess patients' pain levels using standardized pain assessment tools and implement pain management interventions based on individualized pain management plans. PACU RNs administer analgesic medications, monitor pain relief effectiveness, and adjust medications as needed.
• Postoperative Complication Management: Recognize and respond to postoperative complications such as hypoxemia, hypotension, hemorrhage, nausea, vomiting, or surgical site complications. PACU RNs intervene promptly to stabilize patients, initiate appropriate treatments, and escalate care as necessary.
