Contract Duration – 13 weeks Contract.

Position – Travel Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Schedule: Day 7am to 7pm

Facility location - 211 Fourth Street, Alexandria, LA 71301

What You Will Do:
Job Specific Responsibilities:

Triage:

• Assess and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
• Make quick and accurate decisions to ensure that the most critical patients receive immediate care.

Initial Assessment:

• Conduct thorough initial assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating vital signs.
• Identify life-threatening conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.

Emergency Care:

• Administer emergency treatments, including wound care, fracture stabilization, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
• Perform procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, and intubations as needed.

Medication Administration:

• Administer medications, including pain relief, antibiotics, and emergency drugs, as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and efficacy of medications.

Monitoring:

• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
• Use medical equipment such as ECG monitors, defibrillators, and oxygen delivery systems.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment options.
