Binding Minds, Inc. is Hiring an Operator II Near Salt Lake, UT

Shift Schedule: 10 hour 2nd shift Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm-1:30 am MST swing

Convert to perm: Possibility to be considered for perm based on business needs, but not guaranteed; this assignment is for 6 months as a contingent- Production Operator I.

Required Screens:
1. Background: Basic Background

2. Drug : 12 panel w/ Fentanyl

3. Medical Test:
A) Vision Screen - Near, Far, Color, Depth and Peripheral
B) Vital Signs
C) Urine Dip Analysis
D) Whisper Test
E) Audiogram & Noise and Hearing Questionnaire
F) Lifting Assessment
G) Spirometry & OSHA Respirator Questionnaire

Core essential skill sets to be considered for the role:

  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Detail oriented with ability to identify errors and/or inconsistencies while performing tasks.
  • Ability to receive instruction and follow directions.
  • Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant:

  • Standing for extended periods of time at work station or equipment.
  • Walking to move short distances quickly and frequently.
  • Using fingers to perform activities such as picking, pinching or typing.

Frequent:

  • Stooping, Kneeling and/or Crouching – bending body, spine and/or legs.
  • Twisting/Reaching – turning at waist and extending hands and/or arms in any direction.

Occasional:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.
  • Climbing – use of feet, legs, hands and/or arms to ascend or descend.
  • Crawling – using hands and knees or hands and feet to move about.
  • Pushing and/or Pulling – using upper extremities to exert force.

Day-to-day roles and responsibilities of the assignment:

  • Responsible for learning the manufacturing and/or packaging process as assigned by following approved batch records (BR), work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Responsible for set up, changeover, programming and operation of various equipment manufacturing and/or packaging equipment including, but not limited to, mixers, granulators, dryers, mills, tablet compression, holder assemblers, blister formers and sealers, packagers and labelers.
  • Responsible for cleaning of facilities, equipment and utensils as required following SOP’s and WI’s.
  • Responsible for completing documentation as required in the manufacturing and/or packaging of product.
  • Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments.
  • Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Record instructions.
  • Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.

The following are required after start of assignment for positions at client:
1) Respirator training & fitting
2) Safety shoes
3) Safety glasses (prescription if needed)
4) Dress code: Casual, PPE such as safety glasses, steel

Position requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, and minimum of zero (0) to one (1) year experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or food industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic company information should be explained to applicants:
SLC (commercial manufacturing facility of Drugs Pharmaceuticals)
Dress code/environment for assignment:
Required uniform (gowning), clean room environment/laboratory, etc.
Casual, PPE such as safety glasses, steel shoes.

Salary: $24.00 - $24.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
