POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the selection of open die tools as well as the assembly of completed dies, fabrication and rework, and sharpening of tools and dies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Fabricate tooling based on the dimensions that are on the Running Sheet.

2. Read and work from prints, process sheets, written and verbal instructions to tolerances of .0005.

3. Use gauges, calipers, micrometers to measure work.

4. Start and operate CNC lathes/mills.

5. Fit and assemble parts to make repairs, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.

6. Periodically check product sizes and report any problems or readjust machines using measuring instruments.

7. Place products on the tooling rack once they are completed.

8. Maintain and clean tools.

9. Experience working with CNC Lathes, Vertical Mills and Horizontal Mills.

10. Works with minimum supervision.
