Biltmore Workforce Management is Hiring an Inn Housekeeping Coordinator - Flex Near Asheville, NC

Job Description

The starting pay range for this position begins at $18.25/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Flex: A position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours/year).

Inn Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for the coordinating the cleaning and maintenance of guest and employee items for the Rooms Division, including but not limited to: overseeing pick-up/delivery from cleaning services; maintains proper storage and inventory; documentation of guest and hotel management dry cleaning requests; responsible for lost and found items; uniform repairs and alteration. Other duties include answering phones, reporting, and administrative tasks. Coordinator will also offer general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and the company.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Office duties include, producing and reading reports, answering phones, radio communication, completion of day to day operation, copying, filing, and data entry.
2. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, and organization of working and storage areas within housekeeping and additional storage areas.
3. Maintain Housekeeping department storeroom inventories.
4. Provide staff members with appropriate and clean uniform on a daily basis.
5. Verify guest laundry against laundry ticket, and inspect clean item for quality and accuracy; check items returned for quality, damages, accuracy, and charges.
6. Coordinate pickups, deliveries; handle guest-pressing request.
7. Perform basic repair of staff uniforms.
8. Measure and issue new staff member uniforms, sending detailed information of alterations needed if sent out for sewing.
9. Hang all clean staff uniforms in an organized storage manner.
10. Coordinates with Department Heads on uniform orders and seasons for outdoor staff.
11. Embroiders luxury amenities for VIP/ returning guests.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Assists other staff members as needed or requested, to assure exceptional quality and service; general support for department, leadership, and company as required.
2. Performs any other tasks or projects as directed by Housekeeping Management to assure smooth departmental operations.
3. Maintain proper documentation of inventories, guest laundry, and issuing of uniforms utilizing Excel.
4. Maintain detailed records of Lost-and-Found; ensure all guest communications regarding Lost-and-Found are timely and accurate.
5. Neatly wrap/pack lost-and-found items for shipping ensuring shipping form is filled in completely and accurately.


Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a related field strongly preferred.
2. Knowledge of proper sewing, repair, and alteration techniques. Knowledge of hotel operations preferred.
3. Commitment to delivering world class internal/external guest service, and anticipating guest needs.
4. Proven ability to multi-task effectively, work as part of a team and under deadlines. Must be able to prioritize and adapt.
5. Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
6. Proactive, takes initiative as appropriate; exercises good judgment.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to respond appropriately to guest and employee requests; solid telephone etiquette.
8. Ability to operate/use small commercial sewing and cleaning equipment.
9. Quickly learns Biltmore systems and processes; knowledge of Excel and Word required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance).
2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work area; must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead and below.
3. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift; may occasionally work in locations where the ability to climb ladders or stairs would be required.
