Description

The Multifamily Portfolio Accountant is responsible for entering and processing company payables and receivables and assist with general accounting functions for the department.

Major Accountabilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
• Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting related documents or records
• Invoice tracking/research to ensure all invoices are paid timely
• Vendor approval/set-up
• Insurance tracking/monitoring
• Accounts Receivable
• Assists with monthly accruals and reclasses
• Inter-company processes
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• Assist with annual audit process
• Assist with review of move out statements for Multi-Family portfolio
• General accounting functions and special projects
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external and internal departments

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college level accounting preferred
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in General Accounting functions
• Multi-Family background preferred
• Strong ability to utilize 10-key function for data entry
• Strong Excel skills required
• Yardi-Payscan experience preferred
