BigIron Auction is Hiring a Project Manager - Omaha, NE Near Omaha, NE
- Manages an ongoing, evolving, diverse project portfolio.
- Sets and manages stakeholder expectations, develops detailed project plans, defines project scope, creates working teams, and assigns team members to specific tasks.
- Conducts internal and external research based on project portfolio.
- Anticipates project impact on current operating procedures and takes steps to address.
- Take steps to mitigate roadblocks, challenges, or complications within the project portfolio.
- Creates communication and change management plans surrounding strategic project implementations.
- Ensures all projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Manages and evaluates system-wide pilots.
- Sets timelines, minimizes delays, and develops alternate plans as needed within projects.
- Proactively engages internal and external stakeholders throughout full project lifecycle.
- Deploys various strategies to ensure all stakeholders are positively engaged in project portfolio.
- May be asked to plan, create, and/or facilitates presentations, workshops, and training associated with project portfolio, as needed.
- Establish project offboarding process that focuses on training strategies and support hand-off.
- Establishes and cultivates 3rd party partner and vendor relationships within project portfolio.
- Effectively transitions project to appropriate department for ongoing management.
- Provides an extraordinary experience for all stakeholders in project portfolio.
- Provides regular internal and external updates on project status.
- Evaluates the business model and current best practices, then identifies opportunities to improve.
- Creates and deploys workflows related to project portfolio.
- Analyzes various project success metrics and prepares reports and presentations.
- Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- B.A. in Business Administration or equivalent years of work experience
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred, but not required
- 3 years’ project management experience, specifically related to operations, technology, and/or customer experience
- Previous experience in SmartSheet and/or Jira
- Communicates effectively in formal and informal 1:1 and group settings
- Easily articulate vision and standards
- Observe the opinions, feelings, and needs of people
- Empathetic, patient, and allow others to speak
- Analyze situations and interactions in-depth with intent of anticipating outcomes
- Think and function effectively at macro and micro levels of operation
