Tasting Room Lead Job Description

● Give engaging and energetic tours

● Ensure that all guests have a remarkable experience and are given top quality service at all times

● Embody the company culture of creating the Big Machine Experience through energetic storytelling and guest interaction

● Lead by example and set the highest standards for tasting room staff including training new hires on brand standards and information

● Ensure that all beverages are prepared and served according to the recipes, portion sizes, and serving/presentation standards

● Be willing to gain deep knowledge of our story, spirits, and the ability to accurately describe these to guests

● Assist management with ensuring that company procedures and processes are followed by all Tasting Room Associates (attendance, dress code, safety, cleaning, POS, etc.)

● Perform leader-level cash control and handling procedures as directed by management

● Assist with deliveries, restocks, and inventory procedures in accordance with Big Machine policies and procedures

● Assist management with reaching the financial goals of the tasting room as set by the company

● Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Physical requirements

● Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

● Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 100 pounds

● Able to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, etc.)

Desired qualifications

● Previous customer service experience

● Tour experience a plus

Summary of a typical day

● Conduct Distillery Tours

● Enthusiastically engage with guests

● Ensure that the tasting room is clean, organized, well-stocked, and in good working order

● Prepare cocktails, rotate stock, and maintain knowledge of all beverage products and merchandise

● Reconcile cash drawer and deposits daily

● Record weekly inventory of merchandise
