What key factors determine success in this position?

Success in this position means you can utilize your experience in the industry to help project manage client campaigns, train and mentor other Specialists on the team, and help communicate results to clients in addition to the ability to execute task-based projects in a timely way, providing value for the team and client projects each and every time.

• Ability to step in on client calls in the absence of the Digital Marketing Manager and convey progress, impact, and future strategy or projects.

Additionally, helping design and implement offers for Big Leap’s eCommerce client business to drive a more competitive value proposition and increase Big Leap's expertise in eCommerce, ultimately benefiting client results.

So, what does the day-to-day look like for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist and eCommerce Industry Expert?

This role is immersive and dynamic, which means that every day will be different. However, at its core, you'll be responsible for:

• Analysis of client online marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, and others.
• Contributing data-based recommendations for clients online marketing campaign strategy
• Conducting various audits of client websites
• Contributing insights for client project reporting
• Researching marketing opportunities for clients
• Conducting outreach campaigns to website owners, bloggers and media
• Occasional content creation (web copy, blog posts, images, etc.)
• Performing competitor and website audits
• Use popular marketing tools (Moz, Buzzstream, SEMRush, Google Search Console, etc.)
• Work with the VP of Product and individual Product Owners to develop specialized value propositions as an eCommerce Industry Expert.
• Discover, test, and document proven strategies centered on driving desired client results. Share proven strategies in the form of templates, team strategy trainings, Slack messages, 1-on-1 meetings, etc.
• Research and determine KPIs and metrics to track and nomenclature important to the industry as we communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Help improve reporting capabilities and recommend customizations to enhance the client experience and overall understanding of value.
• Uncover the tools and resources critical to directing successful client campaigns.
• Document and share your expertise through leading trainings, attending conferences, compiling resources to share in the LMS or Big Leap Vault, communicating and answering questions in Slack, etc. 
• Work with each Big Leap team to ensure they are well supported as we collectively fulfill client campaigns.
• Help refine marketing or sales collateral to improve how we communicate our competitive value proposition (e.g., service page on Big Leap’s website, sales proposal, being interviewed on a podcast, etc.).
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the eCommerce industry.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest digital eCommerce marketing trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our clients are always ahead of the curve.

This job might be a fit if you have:

• 1-3 years of SEO experience
• Ability to develop and execute results-based client campaigns
• Advanced understanding of SEO concepts
• Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist, specifically within the eCommerce industry.
• Obtain a certification in eCommerce.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) and online sales strategies.
• MS Excel experience
• Familiarity with Google Apps
• Strong Experience with Google Analytics
• Knowledge of WordPress CMS
• Desire to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment
• Internet-lover - you're no stranger to Reddit, Tumblr, and Buzzfeed
• Ability to write professional, persuasive, and friendly emails
• Desire to find efficient ways to do repetitive tasks
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS concepts
• Organization – the ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once and still get things done.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Some projects may require advanced skills in each area.
• Prompt and regular attendance is required.
