Tube Laser Cutting Operator:

Position Overview:

Big 3 Precision Products is seeking a full-time Tube Laser Cutting Operator for our Dearborn.

location. 1 years’ experience with running a Fiber Optic Tube laser cutter. Experience with CO2 laser cutting is a plus, but not a must. Day to day laser cutting of various.

ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Job Responsibilities:

Follows direction form Laser Supervisor and/or Plant Manager per production schedule as well as Customer needs.
Ensures that projects are completed in accordance to timelines.
Understands and works within company/customer quality standards.
Problem solver.
Understands nesting layouts/part descriptions.
Maintains and PM’s equipment in conjunction with Supervisor.
Monitors all cutting/assist gas levels and communicates product needs.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Organizes, cleans, and maintains laser cutting area. Keeps area free of trip/safety hazards.
Strong Math Skills.
Continuously follows all proper Company/OSHA mandated PPE and safety protocols.

Skills:

Good attendance and follow instructions.
Understanding of tools required to produce product.
Work independently or within a team.
Work accurately, with attention to detail, and be able to detect defects.

Abilities:

Speak, read, and write in the English language.
Stand, Walk, and reach with arms, hands, and fingers.
Lift, carry, push, pull items up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
Basic Math; count, add, and subtract.
Operate Forklift
Able to read a tape measure within 1/16”.
