Wege Pretzel, Hanover, Pa. is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for performing analytical tests of raw materials, products and packaging.
Closely monitors products during the times corrective steps are being taken, retesting the product to determine its acceptability, placing products on hold which are substandard and require management inspection to determine their disposition, checking that product to be reworked is handled properly and that products to be discarded are disposed of properly.
The QA Tech performs accurate analytical tests at specific intervals to assess the quality of raw materials, products, and adequacy of packaging.
Responsible for monitoring all aspects of manufacturing to carry out the specific job duties listed below.Performs accurate analytical tests at specific intervals to assess the quality of raw materials, products, and adequacy of packaging.
Reports analytical results to the Production Supervisor on a regular basis.Informs QA management and the Production Supervisor immediately upon identifying a problem.
Closely monitors products during the times corrective steps are being taken, retesting the product to determine its acceptability.
If the Production Supervisor or Leadperson is unavailable, the QA Technician may direct the Machine Operator to make appropriate adjustments.
Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety requirements to ensure high product integrity.Takes required action to maintain good housekeeping.
Places products on hold which are substandard and require managements inspection to determine proper disposition.Checks that product to be reworked is handled properly and that products to be discarded are disposed of properly.
Monitors the sanitation and product hazards present on the production lines and in the storage areas.Completes and maintains accurate reports as required.
Assists in obtaining sales samples and their subsequent shipments.Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to : GMPs, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
Adheres to common safety practices and guidelines including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.
Performs other duties as assigned by Quality Management.Reports toQuality Assurance Supervisor.
