We are looking for a warehouse worker/sample assembler who will be responsible for making and assembling flooring display samples. You will need woodworking skills to build various samples using a chop saw, table saw, drill press and belt sander. This person will also work within the warehouse such as pulling orders, loading trucks and working on special projects when necessary. We prefer forklift experience. A detail-focused individual is a must.

Responsibilities

• Building flooring sample boards using power tools including but not limited to table saw, chop saw, drill press, belt sander.
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places utilizing forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or hand stack.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills

• Preferred experience as forklift operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial and woodworking equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination with the ability to carry 75 lbs
• Experience in woodworking skills
• High school diploma
• Computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
