Job Description: $$ Sign on bonus available $$ Part time 24 weekly hours, night shift, benefits eligible About the Unit: 5 South is one of eight telemetry units in the main hospital. 5 South consists of 21 all private rooms. Nurses provide intermediate-level care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of different medical diagnoses with a focus on neuro-spine patients. The unit provides high-level, fast-paced, patient and family centered care. Job Duties: The Charge Nurse acts as a shift supervisor and is a key member of the management team. The Charge Nurse provides leadership to staff members and serves as a clinical resource. Additionally, the Charge Nurse communicates and rounds on patients and family members to ensure a high level of patient care and safety. The Charge Nurse is an extension of the Nurse Manager and will work collaboratively to address operational needs such as scheduling, staff development, and clinical competence. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: Active Kentucky RN license A minimum of two years acute care hospital experience required.
