Warehouse Team Leader/Gauge Calibration Lead

A management team with a customer-first focus ensures we sustain our valued customer and supplier partners and presents us well when new partners visit our operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and must be exceptionally detail oriented; able to track multiple facets of the assigned warehouse daily. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the backflow gauge calibration process and operation as we increase the volume of calibrations and gauge repairs that are completed at the facility. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to upholding rigorous quality standards.

Expectations & Responsibilities

· Supervise/perform daily activities of a warehouse function: including quality assurance and customer service.

· Elevate responsibility when appointed as acting-Manager. Including opening and closing warehouse during published business hours.

· Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair & test backflow gauges from various manufacturers.

· Document time and materials used in the repair of gauges.

· Communicate internally with sales team members regarding timeframes and estimates for repairs, occasionally communicate directly with customers.

· Prioritize work using promise dates and FIFO methodologies

· Sustain customer loyalty through superior service and presenting a clean and organized (housekeeping) workspace that delights our will call customers.

· Meet operational goals and objectives for assigned warehouse function.

· Establish and maintain timely and effective communications with all reporting structures keeping all informed of facility problem areas as well as other relevant operational issues.

· Establish a team-oriented environment with open and consistent administration of BHC policies and practices.

· Maintain training programs for assigned personnel.

· Foster an environment of continuous improvement.

· Actively maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

· Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly. Oversee general maintenance of the infrastructure.

· Perform as acting-Manager in the warehouse whenever Distribution Center Manager is away, offsite, or on vacation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, engineering or mechanical background preferred
• 5 years’ experience in a warehouse
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and work with small parts
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt to changing timeframes and priorities
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to travel 5 – 10 weeks annually
• Proficient knowledge of automated inventory systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Involves physical exertion and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Proven experience in gauge calibration and repair, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. (Optional)
• Proficiency in using calibration equipment and software, with a strong understanding of calibration principles and techniques. (Optional)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
