Better Business Bureau of Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont is a values-based non-profit organization that promotes trust within the business community.

We are looking for a Business Engagement Specialist to work within BBB’s service area relationship building with entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and small businesses to increase BBB membership and engagement.

The Business Engagement Specialist will be a passionate and relationship-oriented individual, as well as self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community driven. Essential responsibilities of the Business Engagement Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement strategies to connect with and engage Members and potential BBB members in the business community.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and community organizations
• Organize and attend events and networking opportunities to promote BBB membership and programs.
• Provide educational resources and support to members and the broader community.
• Manage the nomination and selection process for the BBB Spark Awards and Spark Jr. Awards.
• Organize and manage business events and functions.

The Business Engagement Specialist will be driving a BBB Branded vehicle and must have a safe, secure place to park it.

The ideal candidate will:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement or event management
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for supporting small businesses and the local community.
• Possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

The 32 hour work week schedule is flexible to accommodate evening and weekend shifts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
