Summary
Completes pre-admission screening and initial RUG assessment prior to acceptance to the unit. Communicates with inter-disciplinary team members in making admission decisions.
Provides pre-certification information and insurance authorization when required. Provides on-going education to facility personnel on proper RUG timing and placement.
Assesses and coordinates admissions for the Skilled Nursing Facility. Fosters an environment conducive to resident / family satisfaction by direct and indirect interaction with resident, family, physician, and referral sources.
May be assigned other duties as appropriate.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Current RN license in the state you will be working preferred
- Previous Medicare experience
- Extensive knowledge of the RUG classification system
- Marketing skills
