The opportunity

We are seeking a caring Full-time Social Worker to join the Bethany family.

We serve patients within a 35-mile radius of our Greentree office in private residences, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Check out what kind of candidate we are looking for and what benefits we have to offer below.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of community resources for financial programs, informational programs and eligibility requirements
  • Ability to work with and knowledge of procedures for state programs and skilled nursing facilities, etc
  • At least two years of social work experience, hospice experience is a plus
  • Vehicle, driver’s license and car insurance
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill (we can help you with this one!)
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
  • Satisfactory criminal background check
  • Presentation of negative TB test or CXR as required by state law
  • Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
  • Desire to be part of the best hospice team in western Pennsylvania
