Job description –Technical Writer 

Designation: Technical Writer

Location: Bangalore

Years of Experience: 2-5 Years

Qualification: Master’s or bachelor’s degree with English, Communication or Business as major. 

Overview

The candidate will be responsible for authoring customer facing technical and user documentation for BetaNXT products. The candidate should be self-motivated, ready to work in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver high quality work with strict deadlines. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, edit, and publish operational, instructional, and maintenance documentation such as help topics, release notes, and how-to articles for multiple audiences and media.
  • Review and edit drafts written by subject matter experts to ensure consistency of technical documentation across product lines. 
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts, customer service representatives, and product development teams to gather data for documentation.
  • Research and translate technical information into documents and communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with team members and other technical team to provide value add to the customer. 

Skills

  • Experience in writing technical documentation in a software development company.
  • Able to express technical concepts and procedures in clear, concise, and accurate content. 
  • Excellent communicator with above average English writing and speaking skills. 
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Dreamweaver, HTML, content management/single sourcing tools highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the financial industry highly desired.
  • Knowledge of the SDLC methodology highly desired. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
