Job description – PMO Project Manager (Technology-Infrastructure)

Designation: Project Manager

Location: Bangalore

Years of Experience: 10-15 Years

Qualification: Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent

Overview:

Oversees the full project management life cycle of projects comprising hardware systems, software applications, cloud, network connections and servers. Implementing established policies, governance framework, project portfolio management system and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all projects under portfolio.

Experience: 

• 5 yrs of project management experience. 10 years of overall work experience
• Proven experience of successfully managing projects in mid to large organizations.

• Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates

Responsibilities:

• Weekly management reporting, of project overall progress and health
• Status of milestones and deliverables across the portfolio
• Track and manage Project Financial information - budget, forecast, actuals, etc.
• Proactively manage project risks and mitigations. Escalate risks timely to avoid cost or schedule impact
• Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery 
• Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.
• Liaise with business stakeholders, IT SMEs, and 3^rd parties.
• Actively leads and directs cross-functional team members to ensure all deliverables, program/project objectives are completed on-time and on-budget. 
• Manage agile releases of ServiceNow enhancements and functionality, implementation across the organization

Skills:

• Preparation of documentation, status and budget reports. Attention to detail (diligent)
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, provide leadership to teams for successful delivery 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup style demanding environment operating remotely across 3 time zones.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and via presentations with teams, stakeholders and MSP vendors spread across the globe
• Versed in Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / SCRUM certification
• Prior experience with M&A IT Carve-out, Infra. Separation projects a plus
• Excellent time management skills and understand criticality of a baseline, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities 
• Expert hands-on knowledge of building a critical path. Actively manage critical path which allows for a line of sight into risk/issues before they have project/program impact 
• Working with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, and collaboration tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence etc
• Review all project requirements and determine scheduling, budgeting, and resource needs. 
• Manage the delivery of Infrastructure projects within agreed scope, standards, budget, time scales, and tolerances
• Experience in implementing End User Computing projects a plus
