Job Title: Banquet Bartender

Direct Report: Banquet Captain

Job Summary: To serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Banquet bartenders serve beverages at cash and hosted bars.

Job Duties:

• Ability to set-up Banquet Function Bars and accessories to banquet requirements, including changing CO2 tanks and wheeling in portable bars from storage areas.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests.
• Able to read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders including start times and beverage requirements.
• Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage areas.
• Expediently communicates any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet Captain, Banquet Supervisor or Catering Manager.
• Works effectively and efficiently with the banquet team.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the Catering Manager.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the banquet department as directed by the Catering Manager or immediate supervisor.
• Adheres to all hotel safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and Federal, State and Local laws.
• Maintains superior standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the Atrium or Banquet rooms and service area. Consistently maintains a neat, organized and clean workspace and uniform.
• Demonstrates a commitment to provide the best possible experience for guests, ensuring superior personalized service.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed.
• Locks up and stores all beverages and equipment needed to designated areas.
• Deposits cash drops to front desk clerks after events are over.
• Returns Cash Banks to Catering Manager or Restaurant Manager.
• Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate Banquet Uniform and ready for work.
• Keeps Banquet bars clean and neat at all times.
• Provide beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence.
• Accurately fills out Bar Requisitions and Consumption sheets.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Prior bartending experience required.
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register if needed.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of principles, values and processes for providing superior guest service.
• Ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests.
• Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Hold current RAMP certification.
