HOUSEKEEPING

Salary:
$10-11 / hr

Shift and Schedule: starting at 9:00 AM

Candidates must be able to work weekends/holidays | Rotating weekends

Work Location: In person

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. Housekeepers service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, stock carts with room supplies, replace bed linens, and replenish guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

· Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

· Capacity for frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and smiling.

· Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods. May need to climb stairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Thoroughly clean guest rooms according to standards.

· Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to: guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart set-up.

· Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms and hallways.

· Keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.

· Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind.

· Restock housekeeping cleaning cart, including replenishing chemical bottles.

· Report all missing room items (irons, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor / Manager.

· Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.

· Handle “Lost and Found” items according to brand standards.

· Maintain regular attendance and personal appearance in compliance with brand standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
