Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Cleaner - On-call provides temporary on-call cleaning duties at the Vassar College Alumnae House Inn to cover peak workload periods or to provide coverage during employee absences.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain cleanliness of all hotel rooms and their related bathrooms.

* Make beds, dust vacuum and re-stock supplies as required.

* Maintain cleanliness of all hotel hallways, lounges and public bathrooms.

* Maintain cleanliness of all public room space.

* Machine launder all robes, towels, bedspreads, and curtains.

* Put away all clean linen.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* One (1) year experience in the maintenance and care of facilities in a similar environment is preferred.

* Ability to move, position and place objects up to and including 25 pounds is required.

* Must be able to interact with guests courteously.

* Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding, speaking, reading and writing is required.

* Willingness to work overtime as available. Overtime is assigned according to seniority guidelines.
