BREAKFAST ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY):

A breakfast attendant’s main responsibility is to provide a clean and well stocked breakfast area and to ensure absolute guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES):
1. Wear a uniform up to property standards and nametag at all times on property.

2. Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction

3. Set up breakfast according to Best Western Plus policies to ensure absolute guest satisfaction.

4. Attend to guest needs, ensuring food is continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner.

5. Clear and clean tables and chairs; check floor for debris between guests.

6. Replenish food and supplies as necessary

7. Maintain breakfast area cleanliness.

8. Maintain clean and well-organized dining area, including disinfecting all areas where food is prepared or served.

9. Maintain all operating equipment and serving utensils in a neat and clean manner to ensure maximum job efficiency and an appealing presentation.

10. Organize storage areas to ensure the quality of the food, implementing “first in first out” method of food rotation.

11. Plan and prepare for the following day. Check inventory of supplies taking action as necessary to ensure adequate quantity and quality of products for the next day.

12. Maintain a record of guest requests for breakfast items and provide this information to Management in order to continually exceed guest expectations of the breakfast program. Follow the security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.

13. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.

14. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt correction action can be taken.

15. Perform other duties as requested or required.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

1. Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest

2. Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers

3. Ability to cope with stress, showing self-control during excitement

4. Ability to stand on feet for length of shift

5. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds several times during shift

6. Ability to safely work with cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals
