Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain and update policy guidance documents, templates, instructions, and requirements language for the Office of Safety and Mission Assurance managed NASA directives, procedural requirements, and standards.
• Perform records management and update current versions of all requirements and documents.
• Support and drive Process Improvement by creating and maintaining office 365 collaboration tools and sites within SharePoint, Teams, Cradle for document revision process teams and policy working groups.
• Identify and implement improvements to the communication process with stakeholders.
• Assist in writing and revising directives, proofreading, editing technical content submitted by government technical discipline leaders, and drafting documents into consistent NASA format and policy guidelines.
• Attend requirements management meetings and reviews tracking actions, open issues, and partnering with NASA document managers and SMEs through task closure.
• Conduct Policy and Requirements research and analysis.
• Track document improvements via metrics and comments ensuring overall document quality.
• Analyze relationships between documents and requirements.
• Identify redundant and conflicting requirements across Agency safety and mission assurance standards and assist with alignment and resolution.
• Complete NASA Safety and Mission Assurance Technical Excellence Program Level 1 within 90 days.

• Possesses a high level of attention to detail and has a keen eye for errors and has a positive professional demeanor.
• Promptly responds to client requests with accuracy.
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in adapting to new office technology and learning and acquiring new technical skills to advance collaboration.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS office 365 software, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and knowledge of Cradle a plus.
• Assess complex data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests.
• Create programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
• Examine data quality, applications, and functions.
• Research new data sources and analytical tools.
• Use and support database applications and analytical tools.
• Bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions.
• Works under general supervision.
• A high degree of interpersonal skill in working with various levels of technical and business-oriented individuals is required. Prior experience in a government services environment is preferred.
• Candidates may be able to remotely but on-site visits to work with project teams will be required.
• Must reside in the local WashDC metro area.
• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a public trust background clearance.

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

• Education: BA/BS in a technical or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the NASA environment is preferred.
