This is a part-time position with Best Ace Hardware located in Long Neck, DE. We are looking for a part-time cashier/sales associate.

Cashier responsibilities include answering the telephone, operating our computerized point of sale system, assisting customers, following proper procedures, greeting and thanking customers, and whatever other tasks the store managers assign. In addition, cashiers may be taken off the register to complete tasks in other areas of the store such as putting up merchandise, doing inventory, checking in orders, straightening and cleaning an area, putting up backstock, watering plants, etc. Sales associates are responsible for providing customer assistance in person and over the phone, loading items into customer's cars, putting away stock, maintaining and ordering an area of the store, and other tasks as may be assigned by managers. In addition, sales associates will be trained in services we provide such as paint mixing, key cutting, glass/plexi glass cutting, lock rekeying and other services.

Applicants must be comfortable using computers and able to stand on their feet for an 8 hour shift. Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred for cashier positions. Sales associates must be able to stand on their feet for 8 hour shifts and lift up to 80 lbs. Applicants must be available to work daytime and evening hours and one shift each weekend. We are open seven days per week including weekend and evening hours and most holidays (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). Applicants will be eligible for a generous employee discount.
