Job Title: RN Clinical Educator (NICU/Peds/Lactation)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Educator to join our team specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric care, and Lactation. The RN Clinical Educator will be responsible for providing education and training to nursing staff, new hires, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and support for families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement educational programs for NICU, Peds, and Lactation staff
2. Provide hands-on training and demonstrations for proper patient care techniques
3. Conduct assessments to identify educational needs and areas for improvement
4. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure consistent and effective patient care
5. Stay up-to-date on best practices and guidelines in NICU, Peds, and Lactation care
6. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement
7. Mentor and support new nurses and staff members in their professional development
8. Assist with program development, evaluation, and accreditation processes
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred
3. Certification in Neonatal/Pediatric Nursing (NRP, PALS, or equivalent) preferred
4. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in NICU, Pediatrics, or Lactation
5. Previous experience in clinical education or staff development preferred
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
