Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg TelemetryJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg Telemetry team. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will provide quality nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. Your primary focus will be on monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and assisting in the management of patients' overall well-being. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assess patients' conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.2. Monitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.3. Administer medications, including oral, IV, and intramuscular routes, in accordance with physician orders.4. Perform routine and complex treatments and procedures, such as wound care, catheter insertion, and administration of IV fluids.5. Document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and progress in electronic medical records.6. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and overall wellness.7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the provision of comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.8. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions to stabilize patients.9. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.10. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control and safety guidelines.Qualifications and Skills:1. Valid and current RN license in the state of employment.2. Graduation from an accredited nursing program.3. Prior experience working in a Med Surg Telemetry unit preferred.4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.5. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.6. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.7. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.9. CPR certification and additional certifications as required by the employer.10.
