Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Orthopedics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Med/Surg Orthopedics department. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, including joint replacements and spine surgeries. They will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to create individualized treatment plans and ensure the highest level of patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and pain levels
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and management of orthopedic conditions
• Assist with procedures such as wound care, casting, and splinting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to enhance clinical skills

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg or Orthopedics setting
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required
