Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Adult

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Med-Surg Adult care. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide holistic patient-centered care to adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients' families to deliver evidence-based care and facilitate positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care, focusing on the unique needs of adult patients with medical and surgical conditions.

2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and revise individualized care plans to meet patients' evolving needs.

3. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.

4. Document patient's medical history, progress, and treatments accurately in electronic health records (EHRs).

5. Monitor and interpret patients' diagnostic tests, making appropriate adjustments to the care plan as needed.

6. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

7. Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating critical thinking skills and sound decision-making abilities.

8. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

9. Foster a compassionate and caring environment for patients, promoting their comfort and emotional well-being.

10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.

11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects to maintain and enhance nursing standards.

12. Provide guidance, supervision, and support to nursing assistants and other staff members.

13. Maintain professional knowledge and skillset through continuous learning, attending educational programs, and staying updated with current research and practices.

14. Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to facilitate discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition to post-hospital care.

15. Adhere to ethical principles and nursing standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid and current RN license in the state of practice.

2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

3. Experience in Med-Surg Adult care.

4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to handle stressful and demanding situations with empathy and composure.

7. Proficiency in operating medical equipment and EHRs.

8. Solid understanding of infection control protocols and safety standards.

9. Ability to collaborate effectively with various healthcare professionals.

10. Adherence to professional ethics and nursing standards.

11. CPR certification.

12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and multitasking effectively.

13. Strong organizational and time management skills.

14. Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as required.

15. Outstanding patient advocacy skills, promoting patient-centered care at all times.
