Job Title: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)Job Summary:The Oncology RN is responsible for providing care to patients diagnosed with cancer. They work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, administer medication, monitor patient progress, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans3. Administering chemotherapy and other medications4. Monitoring patients for side effects and complications5. Educating patients and families about treatment options and managing side effects6. Providing emotional support and counseling to patients and families7. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care8. Maintaining accurate and complete patient recordsQualifications and Skills:1. Valid RN license in the state of practice2. Certification in oncology nursing preferred3. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred4. At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills6. Compassionate and empathetic nature7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and often emotional environment8. Knowledge of oncology treatments and medications9.
