We are looking for a Equipment & Controls Planning Engineer who provides project planning, installation, start-up and acceptance, as well as engineering support of new installations and optimization measures of the conveyor and equipment technology in Assembly.

Responsibilities

• Engineers the controls planning of technical equipment within Assembly.
• Evaluates concept evaluations with technical and financial focus for new facility and process equipment.
• Provides Project oriented planning and realization of measures in collaboration with the internal customer as well as external suppliers.
• Finds the optimum solutions regarding costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation and environment.
• Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding structural capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Provides cost estimation (Invest, Budget), technical specification and request for quotes.
• Evaluates, coordinates and compiles bidder circle, call for bids, offers evaluation, recommendation for the award of contract, acceptance of the equipment from the suppliers and handing over to the operator as delegated by the Section Manager, Assembly.
• Develops and implements equipment countermeasures to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensures all assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effective countermeasures.
• Ensures all assigned projects are on schedule and at/or under approved budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• 3 years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive).
• 3 years of Project Management experience in several equipment and/or controls planning projects as well as structural modification.
• 3 years of experience in assembly, controls and equipment (PLC Alan Bradley & Siemens S7; E-Plan)
• 3 years of experience in problem investigation & data analysis
• 3 years management experience (continuous improvement, process analysis, controls planning
• 3 years equipment maintenance experience in electrical, controls, software and mechanical areas.
• Experience in using PLC to troubleshoot and program Equipment integration.
