Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to grasp customer needs and project requirements.
• Offer recommendations and guide the creation of prototypes utilizing diverse languages and design tools.
• Architect and craft high-quality production software and software systems.
• Create and update software support documentation, encompassing plans, requirements, design documentation, and test reports.
• Provide mentorship to fellow software engineers.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by managers or team leads.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience navigating the entire software development lifecycle, with proficiency in various methodologies, software configuration management, and coding languages.
• Possession of a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in software development.
• Demonstrated expertise in C and Python within a Linux environment.
• Demonstrated experience within the defense sector.
• Flexibility for interstate and international travel as necessary.
• Strong written communication skills.
