Bertke Electric Co. has been providing first class electrical services to the Greater Cincinnati area since 1928. We have had the pleasure of building some of Cincinnati’s finest buildings including: Hyatt Regency, Adams Landing, U.C. Geology and Physics, Riverbend Music Center, Kroger’s Headquarters Building as well as many grocery stores, retail stores and small office build outs. We now specialize in doing your electrical service work. Bertke will maintain and repair all of your electrical equipment. We also offer infrared/thermal imaging, arc flash studies and arc flash training. Our company believes training is very important and the safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to the company!

We are currently adding a Low Voltage Service Technician to our growing team servicing the KY/OH/IN markets! We are seeking skilled technicians that have experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, such as security systems, communication networks, audiovisual equipment, and other low voltage electrical systems. Their job involves installing, repairing, and maintaining low voltage systems in various commercial and industrial buildings.

  1. **Installation:** Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including security and surveillance systems, access control systems, fire alarms, communication networks, and audiovisual equipment.
  2. **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to low voltage systems. Troubleshoot problems with wiring, equipment malfunctions, and connectivity issues.
  3. **Preventive Maintenance:** Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize the risk of malfunctions.
  4. **System Upgrades:** Upgrade and modify existing low voltage systems to meet changing requirements, technology advancements, or client needs. Stay updated on the latest technologies in the low voltage industry.
  5. **Customer Interaction:** Interact with clients to understand their low voltage system requirements, provide recommendations, and address any concerns. Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach.
  6. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Document system configurations, changes, and updates.
  7. **Collaboration:** Coordinate with other technicians, electricians, and project managers to ensure the seamless integration of low voltage systems into overall building projects.
  8. **Compliance:** Ensure that all low voltage installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting low voltage systems.
  9. **Training and Support:** Provide training to end-users on the use and maintenance of low voltage systems. Offer technical support to clients and address inquiries or issues promptly.
  10. **Safety Procedures:** Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with low voltage systems. Follow proper safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  11. **Testing:** Use testing equipment to verify the functionality of low voltage systems. Conduct tests to ensure proper connectivity, signal strength, and overall system performance.
  12. **Flexibility:** Be adaptable to different types of low voltage systems and technologies. Work on various projects, adapting to the unique requirements of each installation.
