Responsibilities

• Accurately read and interpret product drawings to determine specification and measurement locations.• Program metrology equipment for molds during production and/or mold qualification for both Analytical Services and manufacturing sites. • Provide programming technical support and troubleshoot programs of metrology equipment for Analytical services and manufacturing sites.• Travel to and assist manufacturing sites, as necessary in areas of programming or equipment support.• Train laboratory personnel, both in Analytical Services and manufacturing sites, in programming and proper measurement techniques.• Perform Measurement System Analysis, including Gage R&R and Correlation Studies.• Provide support to CPNA Analytical Services Quality Engineers.• Conduct all job duties in accordance with the company’s published policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent quality experience required. Closely related industrial experience may be substituted for degree relevance.• Strong organizational and communication skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.CPNA WI-00508/1 Analytical Services Quality Engineer Technician Job Description• Programming experience of metrology equipment preferred. Computer programmingexperience may be considered. Metrology equipment includes, but not limited to: OGP vision system, Keyence IM, ABVIS, and PC-DMIS/CMM.• Computer skills—Minitab, Excel, Word, and IBM Notes• Experience in Measurement Systems Analysis and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR).• Experience in plastic processing required; injection molding, thermoforming and/or blow molding preferred.• ISO 9001/2000 experience preferred.• Ability to communicate with customers or vendors in a professional manner.• Ability to travel required, up to 33% annually.
