Position Overview:
Reporting to the Dean of Teaching and Learning Innovation, the Coordinator of Integrative Learning will lead, facilitate, and assess student success high impact practices. The Coordinator of Integrative Learning will work to ensure that activities continue to align with and support the College's Strategic Plan, specifically learning communities and e- Portfolios. The Coordinator will work with faculty, students, and staff to design, develop, and evaluate evidence-based high impact professional development opportunities; create systemic structures to recruit and expand faculty and staff use within these initiatives; and partner with colleagues across Student Affairs and Enrollment and within Academic Affairs to increase the pipeline of students into courses. The Coordinator of Integrative Learning will also collaborate with the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation staff to support the faculty's pedagogical and academic technology goals and use data to create strategies for increased supportive measures to positively impact student success.
Essential Functions:
Work with Academic Affairs Leadership and faculty to assess needs, interests, and opportunities for expansion of high impact practices across the campus and create a plan for how these initiatives will be supported, expanded over time, and assessed.
Work within the Division of Teaching and Learning Innovation to develop and facilitate targeted student-centered and equity-minded professional development opportunities related to these high impact practices.
Recruit faculty and students to participate in Learning Communities working with the Learning Communities Task Force and Advising.
Work with Learning Communities Task Force to develop Learning Communities' student learning outcomes that can be used across the disciplines and then support an annual assessment process of these student learning outcomes.
Maintain and develop new communications for these initiatives on the BCC website and other communications venues.
Collect, analyze, and report on data particularly as it relates to faculty professional development and student success.
Facilitate workshops, activities, and presentations for class visits and campus events to support students' use of e-Portfolios in collaboration with the Digital Commons.
Collaborate with Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation staff to support faculty in their use of BCC's academic technologies.
Other duties may be assigned as related to the necessity of projects and goals.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Training and Experience:
Master's degree, preferably in Education, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or closely related field; with 2-5-year experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include education, program/project management, curriculum development, student affairs, advising, student engagement, organizational development, student learning outcome and assessment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with academic technologies, including a learning management system (Moodle preferred) and e-Portfolios or Blogs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to foster collaborative relationships.
Ability to support equity-minded pedagogical innovation that addresses the needs of a diverse student body.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and initiatives.
Knowledge of and facility in supporting the implementation of AAC&U's High Impact Practices
Experience creating and facilitating professional development opportunities/trainings, workshops, etc.
Teaching experience preferred.
