Berkshire Bank is Hiring a Deposit Quality Control Specialist Near Pittsfield, MA

Deposit Quality Control Specialist Division: Bank Operations Department: Deposit Operations Reports to: Deposit Account Officer Status: Non-Exempt Grade: 6 Pay Rate: $19.00 - $27.00 Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Hybrid / Pittsfield, MA - 99 North St Purpose/Objective: Responsible for review and monitoring of customer profile and account changes to ensure accuracy and integrity of core system data. Performs quality control review of customer name and address changes performed by bank employees ensuring all were properly authorized, processed timely and accurately. Maintains high level of knowledge and understanding of core system customer profiles, deposit account origination, proper titling, required documentation and best practices to ensure the core system data is properly maintained and to allow for a clear understanding of a customer's relationship with the bank. Key Accountabilities: * Performs quality control review of customer name and address changes performed by bank employees to CIS profiles, Deposit and Loan accounts. Confirms customer was properly identified. Ensures change of address form was completed correctly capturing both residential and mailing address information. Verifies that maintenance changes were processed timely and accurately on all customer, deposit, and loan systems. Ensures change of address documentation has been filed and is retrievable from the documents archive. Tracks documentation errors and reports suspicious or fraudulent changes to management. 25% * New Account Monitoring: Conducts the quality control review of new checking, saving, and certificate deposit accounts. Works with frontline staff to resolve and correct inconsistencies of customer or account records that cause inaccurate data within the core system. Tracks and reports deposit account documentation missing from the banks document archive. Conducts follow up with branches when necessary. 25% * Account Change Monitoring: Conducts quality control review of deposit account and product change maintenance. Ensures processing was performed accurately so the customer's accounts work properly without any interruption of service. Tracks issues and remediates to close. Reports exceptions and unresolved issues to manager. 10% * Interest Rate Changes: Conducts quality control review to ensure interest rate changes are appropriate, contain proper officer approval and completed accurately and documentation archived. Conducts quality control review to ensure CD renews for correct rate and term. Tracks issues and remediates to close. Reports exceptions and unresolved issues to manager. 10% * Business Account Tracking: Monitors new business accounts opened and maintenance transactions performed on existing businesses to ensure required Beneficial Ownership Forms are obtained, completed, and properly uploaded into document record retention as required. 20% * Support and assist Product Operations team as needed. Complete any assigned tasks and projects on a timely basis. Document and resolve issues within scope of responsibility. 10% * Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
