Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for contracting across multiple categories of spend as well as the Source to Contract process for one or more categories of spend within the various procurement spend areas.

This position will report to the Director of Professional Services Procurement within the Global Procurement Organization.

A) Deliver robust vendor contracts across multiple categories of spend :

  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions for assigned contracts across Hardware, Software, IT, Professional Services and Commodity Programs.
  • Work closely with Legal (external and internal counsel), Information Security, Third Party Risk Management, and other stakeholders to ensure the contract meets the organizational standards.
  • Interface with internal customers to understand requirements and build out negotiation strategies.
  • Align internal customer expectations and communicate with all parties throughout the contracting process.

B) Own the development and execution of the Procurement strategy (Source to Contract process) for assigned spend categories including Travel and Office Supplies :

  • Analyze spend trends, supplier markets, and recommend savings opportunities.
  • Conduct Request for Proposals.
  • Build and execute negotiation strategies.
  • Draft, negotiate and review contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner to internal customers as it relates to Procurement activities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Risk Management.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve service and delivery issues.

Qualifications

Required Experience

o Recent experience within a Procurement function or

o Paralegal experience at a law firm or in-house law department working on vendor contracts or

o Financial / analytical experience or

o IT experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with all activities of the Strategic Procurement lifecycle (Source to contract).
  • Experience negotiating and executing contracts and working with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with contract management tools.

  • Proactive, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the organization while leveraging resources, processes, and tools to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Ability to prioritize with strong time and project management skills to successfully manage several initiatives simultaneously with multiple stakeholders.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree required. Major in Paralegal studies, Finance, IT, Business or Engineering preferred.

Additional Requirements

Travel : 10% or as required.
