Responsibilities

This role presents an exciting opportunity to take part in the evolution of Marketing and Communications at Berkley Technology Services (BTS), where you’ll be integral in developing strategic content to build trust and engagement with the BTS brand.

The Marketing Communications Specialist is highly organized, possesses excellent communication skills, have a passion for marketing and creative problem solving.

They will develop knowledge and expertise in a variety of areas, including the . Berkley and Berkely Technology Services businesses, Information Technology, and Information Security in order to effectively translate technical updates into clear, comprehensive communications.

They will also work closely with the Director of Strategic Communications in developing engaging content for BTS employees while enhancing the BTS brand image and voice by being willing to ask questions, placing the customer experience at the forefront of our communications strategies and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Learn how our business works at all levels of the organization and operating units we serve while building expertise in IT, Information Security, and Marketing & Communications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and email while driving a consistent BTS brand voice and image.
  • Contribute to IT project strategy and create content for better customer alignment and engagement, building narratives that are easy to understand at all levels of expertise.
  • Build content for employee engagement activities including new hire on-boarding, employee recognition, internal newsletters, team building events, and more.
  • Partner with HR to drive consistent branding for all recruiting initiatives, including the management of our website and enriching our social media presence.
  • Embrace a test and learn mindset by contributing to brainstorming and developing new ideas to continuously improve the effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts.
  • Build trusting relationships across the organization to better understand differing perspectives and viewpoints.
  • Regularly measure and evaluate the success of deployed tactics and tools.
  • Manage projects, utilizing department project management tool, to ensure content is publication-ready by launch deadline.
  • Provide copy review and guidance for both internal and external communications.
  • Actively participate in and lead projects involving stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or similar field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across an organization, developing relationships and understanding multiple viewpoints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to use multiple channels effectively to deliver content.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of basic design principles and experience with graphic design software (., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
