Berkeley Animal Hospital is a newly constructed and privately owned clinic in Berkeley. We are seeking a full-time veterinary assistant(s) to join our team as we continue to grow.

About You :

• Uphold ethics and promote a culture that is positive and thoughtful.
• Passionate about veterinary medicine and animal well-being.
• Ability to give feedback to management and not partake in workplace gossip.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
• Maintain proper documentation and medical records as required by law.
• Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e. : Windows, Gmail, and Google Drive). Our software is Neo, a cloud platform, and we will train you if you have not used this program before.

Clinical Expectations include :

• Provide compassionate care to every patient.
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures (i.e. : various lab work and radiology).
• Accurately prepare medications and workstations upon DVM or RVT request.
• Assist DVM and RVT with all technical aspects of dental and surgery (i.e. : patient preparation and recovery, procedure preparation, and sterilization).
• Understand vaccine protocols.
• Assist mobile veterinary specialists in cardiology, endoscopy, and surgery.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Veterinary experience.

Pay : $ 18 - $28 per hour.

We are a newly constructed and privately owned small animal clinic. We have a 3000 square foot facility with 5 exam rooms, a large treatment area, dental suite, surgery suite, and Fear Free warming cages.
