Bering Straits Native Corporation is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Manager (AIH) Near Anchorage, AK

SUMMARY

Alaska Industrial Hardware, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable Manager with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills. The Accounts Receivable Manager role will report to the Assistant Controller and supervise accounting staff. Candidates who possess a proven ability to identify issues and resolve problems might be interested in applying their talents to this challenging Accounts Receivable Manager position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing and maintaining internal controls.
Assists with the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Monitor past due accounts and oversee collections.
Customer account maintenance.
Analyzing and approving charge account applications.
Assisting in reconciling cash and month end entries.
Assisting the Controller with annual audits.
Ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by the Controller or Assistant Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Five years or more of progressively responsible accounting experience required.
Ability to pass a drug, background, reference, and credit check.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance completed or near completion.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting software and mapping.
Advanced Excel skills/knowledge is required.

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
Background in Public Accounting is highly valued.
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background/credit check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work. Must have a clean driving record. Must be willing to occasionally travel to our remote locations throughout the state.
