POSITION OVERVIEW

Benson Stone Company is seeking an experienced IT specialist to join our in-house systems administration team. This role will help support a staff of over eighty employees among twelve different lines of business. This role combines strong technical skills with interpersonal skills, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for both. This is a full-time position reporting to the systems manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in implementing new company-wide ERP, data migration, and staff training
• Maintain IT systems, mainly on network, workstations hardware, software, and ERP
• Setup and maintain hardware including network (internal and external routers, switches), workstations, machines, phones, cameras, and alarm systems etc
• Install and maintain software, including Odoo ERP, Microsoft Dynamic GP and Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, PDF etc
• Support staff in their use of applications such as Microsoft Office, web browsers, and ERP on cloud and local machines
• Perform daily system monitoring, including verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes; reviewing system and application logs; and verifying completion of scheduled jobs, such as Acronis backups
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems appropriately

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• The ideal candidate will have experience in all or most of the following:
• Coding Languages: XML, Python
• Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, and Mac
• Configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions on LAN/WAN networking, firewalls, routers, switches, Microsoft Office Software, Weroot antivirus etc
• PostgreSQL & MicrosoftSQL database management
• VPN management
• Knowledge of Odoo ERP, Microsoft Dynamics GP and general ledger
• Report design
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
• Interpersonal skills for training, guiding, and troubleshooting issues with others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
