Immediate Opening: Payroll Rep/Administrative Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Apply and perform a general knowledge of payroll principles, practices and procedures covering a range of administrative duties for the Payroll Department in a representative capacity. Answer and research routine and non-routine questions related to Payroll within certain limitations and interpret policy where clear-cut procedures do not exist. Responsible for collecting, analyzing, processing and reporting Payroll data and for maintaining related records. Will be expected to provide administrative assistance in areas of Vehicle Fleet Coordinator and Water Treatment Department Coordinator, that fall under the umbrella of the Administration Functions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Honesty and confidentiality are required and in all company dealings.
  • Up always holding all company standards on employee identity security and protection and in all handling of sensitive data, storage of data etc. Lock and security all company and employee information daily. Uphold company standard of not letting others see personal or private company or employee information.
  • Process hourly employees in-house automated payroll system and hourly timecards to produce accurate and timely payroll with review of work by senior payroll representative prior to final processing.
  • Collect, prepare and process in a timely manner, technician timecards and travel, either via paper or electronic time keeping.
  • Answer and research routine payroll questions to interpret and apply policies or procedures with assistance from Supervisor or Senior Payroll Representative where clear-cut procedures do not exist.
  • Input data into the payroll software, Dispatch software and Vehicle software systems and produce required reports.
  • Assist with maintaining payroll records retention documentation.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year College or equivalent experience; and 2 - 4 years related HR/PR experience required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university desired. Must be familiar with standard HR/PR concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as wage and labor law and related HR/PR regulatory compliance requirements. Professional certification desired.


SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday

8:00 am to 4:30 pm
