Benedictine Living Community of Shakopee is looking for a leader to direct our Maintenance team! We have two beautiful communities - our Assisted Living, Windermere Way, and our Skilled Nursing Facility, St. Gertrude's. This person would be in charge of Housekeeping as well, and making sure that the general flow of preventative and immediate maintenance needs are taken care of. We are a hard-working team and every department works together to make sure our end goal is met: taking care of our amazing residents. Overview
The Environmental Services Director is responsible for overseeing the environmental service department, which includes housekeeping, laundry, plant operations, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Manages the selection, training, development, and performance of the department’s staff. Manages the department’s budget and participates in the strategic planning for the community. Manages maintenance, general repairs, and construction work to the facility and general repairs to the residents’ equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license as appropriate and acceptable driving record that meets BHS requirements.
- Two (2) years of building maintenance experience.
- Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Qualifications Preferred
- Associate’s Degree in the Building Maintenance field
- Previous experience in a health care setting
- Five (5) years of manager experience.
