Overview

The Home Health Office Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring internal operation of the Home Health department. This position is accountable for maintaining accounts receivable, which includes timely and accurate billing for services provided, collection of accounts receivable, claims submission to all payers, month-end and annual processing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain billing procedure for all services rendered timely and accurately.
• Coordinate nursing and therapy visits in partnership with the nurses and therapists.
• Maintains accurate scheduling and assist with reschedules when needed.
• Submit claims to Medical Assistance, Medicare, Insurance, Veterans Administration, etc.
• Monitor accounts receivable balance to keep with the organization standards.
• Perform month end procedures in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain integrity of accounts receivable system with payors or system updates timely and accurately.
• Monitors and ensure compliance in staff training requirements.
• Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
• Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Minimum 2 years billing and collections experience
• Valid Class A Driver’s License

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

• Two years in Business or Accounting
• Home Health Care billing
