Benedictine College Preparatory is Hiring a French Teacher Near Richmond, VA

Job Title: French Teacher

FSLA Status: Exempt, full-time

Work Hours: 10-month position; Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; some after-school events required

Position Start Date: August 2024

Salary Range: $46,500-$50,000 year

Job Summary:

The Benedictine Schools of Richmond are Catholic college preparatory high schools—Saint Gertrude High School and Benedictine College Preparatory—co-located on the 73-acre Benedictine Abbey campus in Richmond, Virginia. The Benedictine Schools of Richmond seek an innovative, collaborative, high school French teacher. Experience necessary. This is a full-time position that begins mid-August.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
Degree in French
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teach French through the AP level.
Support the mission of the school, model its Benedictine values, and journey with students as they become confident, competent, and compassionate men and women.
Utilize the school’s student information system to post assignments, units of study, and related course materials to support student self-initiative and self-advocacy.
Assume standard non-curricular responsibilities assigned to all faculty.
